Christmas Stockings

The day started like any other at Thornhurst. A slim gray wolf awoke from her slumber and crept to the kitchen. She set the kettle for the morning tea while her husband washed and readied himself for the day. Then, clad in his bathrobe, the handsome brown wolf would enter the kitchen and pick out some eggs, or oatmeal, or whatever he felt like that given moment. While he got their breakfast ready, it was her turn in the bath.
Neither took much time to wash, so, just as the water came to a boil and just as the eggs were fully cooked, the two would join each other for the morning meal. On work days, they'd then go their separate ways, but toda
